The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it really is alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The company issue created for intervention experiences a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to help the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency website said.
